CONTRACTS

Mexico legal system has an historical foundation where formality and detail are of big importance. The basic rules and regulations governing contracts in Mexico are found in the Civil Codes of the several states of Mexico and the Federal Commercial Code of Mexico. Contracts are a fundamental means of creating rights and obligations between parties. In order for a contract to exist in Mexico, it must contain consent and subject matter that is legally possible to be the object (goal) of the contract.
